  • Overview

    Syncsort is look for a Mainframe Software Sales Account Executive who will achieve maximum sales profitability, market penetration, and growth for Syncsort in the UK and Ireland. This will be done by effectively developing the existing partners and direct customers, growing the channel business by adding new Partners to meet Syncsort’s rapid growth plans and developing attractive propositions that grows direct business in large enterprise target customers. 


    • Support and development of important, large existing customers in UK and Ireland
    • proctive identification and acquisition of new strategic customers (top 500 companies)
    • Full budget, sales and margin responsibility for the assigned key accounts
    • Development and implementation of annual plans with regard to sales targets, activities and marketing
    • Observing and expanding the market position
    • Representation of the company in the market
    • Quality assurance for offers, presentations and result reporting
    • Reports directly to the Director of Sales – North EMEA


    • 10 years +  of sound professional experience in sales / business development in the IBM mainframe software environment
    • Excellent network within larger mainframe installations at the decision-making level
    • experience with mainframe software pricing
    • Experience creating compelling business case and proposals for purchase  of  mainframe software
    • Experience of Capacity Management sales/ business development
    • Excellent understanding typical customer requirements and implementation concepts
    • Excellent negotiation skills with people at different hierarchy leve
    • Results-oriented, proactive, initiating and energetic attitude
    • Good organizational skills and a high sense of responsibility and autonomy
    • Entrepreneurial thinking as well as customer and service orientation
    • excellent communication skills
    • Sound commercial understanding
